Website for the Family & Small Business Program at the University of South Carolina School of Law

USC FSB Banner

The University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law offers a program devoted to the unique legal challenges faced by family and small businesses, the first program of its kind in the country. We helped their team design a website that conveys what is special about their program while also making it easy for their many stakeholders to access the resources they need.

We did: Web Design

USC FSB Homepage
The F&SB team needed the homepage to give local business owners, prospective and current students, and legal scholars quick access to information. At the same time, they wanted any casual viewer to feel how involved the program is in the local community and understand the depth of their experience. Through many iterations, we landed on a compact design that achieves both goals.
USC FSB Community Stories
The website features an evolving collection of stories about local businesses. We structured the website to invite the user into exploring the most recent story, while making all the stories easily accessible.
USC FSB Mobile Views
We considered the size and placement of headings and banners to ensure that in each page, the most important content would be visible on screen without needing to scroll.
USC FSB Photos
All pages incorporate photos from their work with local businesses, reinforcing their engagement with the community and giving the website its own feel and identity within the context of the greater USC website.
